Stagecoach Changes from 20th November 2017

Timetable changes from Monday 20 November 27 Oct 2017 to 18 Dec 2017

From Monday 20 November, we are making changes to our network of services across Perth & Kinross following a public consultation undertaken in September.

We will also take the opportunity to make some small adjustments to services in Fife and Dundee to reflect feedback received since the Express network change in June and other recent council tender changes.

Perth and Blairgowrie Area

 

Service 1: City Centre – Letham & Tulloch

Service 2: City Centre – Letham & Tulloch

Revised timetable to improve reliability.  There is no change to the route or frequency.

 

Service 3: City Centre – Old Scone – Scone – Gannochy – City Centre

Revised timetable to improve reliability.  Buses now start from South Street Stop O instead of Kinnoull Street Stop H.

 

Service 4: City Centre – Inveralmond

This service, currently operating at peak times only, is improved to run throughout the day, 7 days a week.  Journeys run up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and hourly on Sundays, serving Dunkeld Road and Inveralmond House.  Journeys running via Crieff Road to serve Perth College-UHI are renumbered to service 4A. This offers new links to Inveralmond Industrial Estate for workers and to the Highland Gateway retail park (Aldi, M&S etc).

 

Service 5/6: City Centre – Craigie & Moncrieffe

A revised timetable is introduced Monday to Saturday to improve reliability, mostly maintaining the combined 15 minute frequency.  The Sunday service is withdrawn with Craigie and Moncrieffe served by service 56B on Sundays instead.

 

Gold Service 7: Scone P&R – City Centre – Hillend – City Centre – Hillend

New Gold Service 7A: Scone P&R – City Centre – Broxden P&R – Ettrick Drive – Hillend – Broxden P&R – City Centre – Scone P&R

New Gold Service 7B: Scone P&R – City Centre – Broxden P&R – Hillend – Broxden P&R – City Centre – Scone P&R

This service is significantly improved to offer increased frequencies, up to every ten minutes, and more journeys.  The route is extended to Scone park & ride, providing more frequent departures in place of service 57, which no longer serves the park & ride site.

At Hillend, journeys operate in alternate directions either as service 7 via Hillend and Western Edge as they do currently, or as new service 7A via Ettrick Drive and Hillend, allowing easier local journeys to be made in both directions around these residential parts of the city.  New service 7B runs via Western Edge and Hillend.  Both services 7A and 7B serve Broxden park & ride, replacing service 301 and providing an enhanced service, including evenings and Sundays.  The overall service frequency is increased to every 10 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evenings.  There is no change to the route around Scone or within the city centre.

 

Service 8/9: North Muirton – City Centre – Aviva

There is no change to the route or frequency except for minor changes to early mornings and evenings.

 

Service 10/10A: City Centre – Letham & Burghmuir

Service withdrawn and mostly replaced by new Service 14/14A.

 

Service 11: City Centre – Murray Royal Hospital

Revised timetable to improve reliability.  There is no change to the route or frequency.

 

Service 12: Gannochy / Murray Royal Hospital – City Centre – Viewlands

The route no longer serves Perth Royal Infirmary due to low passenger usage but continues to serve Rose Crescent and Jeanfield Road on return journeys from Viewlands to the city centre.  A revised timetable is introduced to improve reliability.

 

Service 14/14A: City Centre – Burghmuir – Ruthvenfield – Almondbank & Pitcairngreen

The route of this service is revised to operate via Letham and Burghmuir, mostly replacing service 10/10A.  Service 14 journeys continue to run hourly Monday to Saturday and two-hourly on Sundays via Burghmuir Road and West Mains Avenue.  New Service 14A runs hourly Monday to Saturday via Tweedsmuir Road, Newhouse Road and West Mains Avenue to/from Ruthvenfield.

 

Service 15: Perth – Crieff – Comrie – St Fillans

New Service 15A: Perth – Crieff – Dunblane – Stirling

New service 15 and 15A timetable provides a 30 minute frequency between Perth and Crieff during the daytime on Monday to Friday and Saturday.  Service 15 journeys continue from Crieff to Comrie and St Fillans, every hour to Comrie and approximately two hourly to St Fillans.  Service 15A journeys continue from Crieff to Stirling every hour.  A revised Sunday timetable is also introduced.  Service number 15A is no longer used for St Fillans journeys.  Some schoolday only journeys are renumbered to service 815. 

 

Service 16: Perth – Inchture – Ninewells Hospital – Dundee

Some daytime journeys from Perth to Dundee now serve Walnut Grove road end and will divert through the village for passenger alighting on request to the driver.  These journeys are renumbered to service 16A.  All westbound journeys to Perth continue to run via Walnut Grove.  Sunday journeys connect with service 14 in Perth city centre enabling through journeys to/from PRI to be made without needing to change bus.

 

Service 17: Auchterarder – Dunning – Bridge of Earn – Perth

Revised route and timetable.  The route no longer extends to Gleneagles Hotel Trades Entrance but will turn left from East Hill Road down Church Road in Auchterarder.  Aviva journeys are retimed and some now require a change of bus at Perth bus station to be made.

 

Service 23: Perth – Ballinluig – Aberfeldy

Monday to Friday and Saturday journeys now start from and end at Mill Street instead of Perth bus station.  Sunday journeys continue to serve Mill Street and the bus station.  Service number 23B is used for journeys operating via Luncarty; service number 23C is used for the Saturday evening journeys connecting Pitlochry to Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy.  A revised timetable is introduced.

 

Service 24: Pitlochry – Ballinluig

This service has minor timetable changes to maintain connections with revised service 23.

 

Service 34: Perth – Luncarty – Stanley – Spittalfield – Blairgowrie

Revised timetable, with daytime journeys no longer serving Inveralmond House but all serving Hatton Road in Luncarty.  Inveralmond House is instead being served during the day by an improved service 4 but will continue being served by service 34 at peak times.  Service number 34A is now used on journeys serving Bankfoot only.  Sunday journeys operate as service 34C via Letham to/from Murray Royal Hospital.

 

Service 36: Glenrothes – Newburgh – Perth

Revised Sunday timetable, with all journeys extended to Glenrothes.

 

Service 47: Crieff – Dunblane – Stirling

Service withdrawn and replaced by new service 15A.

 

Service 51: Abernyte – Inchture – Walnut Grove – Perth

Current service 51A/51B is withdrawn as a result of recently introduced service X8 providing alternatives.  In addition, the revised service 16 provides some replacement connections between Perth and Walnut Grove.  A return journey from Abernyte to Perth running on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday remains the same.

 

Service 56: Perth – Bridge of Earn – Milnathort – Kinross

Additional Saturday afternoon journey to Kinross introduced.  Sunday journeys are renumbered to service 56B and serve Craigie and Moncrieffe.

 

Service X56: Perth – Kinross – Halbeath P&R – Ferrytoll P&R – Edinburgh

Revised timetable, with most daytime journeys no longer diverting via Bridge of Earn, reducing the off-peak journey time between the two city centres to 90 minutes off-peak.  Early morning and evening journeys continue to serve Bridge of Earn.  In addition, the 0620 Edinburgh to Perth Monday to Friday journey and the 1840 Halbeath to Edinburgh Sunday journey both run 5 minutes later.

 

Service 57: Dundee – Blairgowrie – Perth

The timetable of this service is improved to offer a better spread of departures between services 57 and 59, along with an increased Sunday frequency.  Journeys now run hourly on Sundays between Perth and Blairgowrie, and two-hourly between Blairgowrie and Dundee.  Combined with service 59, this offers journeys between Blairgowrie and Dundee up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and hourly on Sundays, with the same frequencies between Blairgowrie and Perth. The service no longer serves Scone park & ride but additionally serves Lochee High Street in response to passenger requests.  Journeys serving Kinrossie are numbered 57A and journeys serving Perth College UHI are numbered 57C.

 

Services 57A & 57B: Blairgowrie Community Campus services

Services withdrawn with service 57B fully replaced by improved service 59.

 

Service 58: Blairgowrie – Guildtown – Perth

The off-peak journeys on this service no longer extend to/from Blairgowrie due to low passenger usage and now run between Perth and Guildtown only.  Service 57 provides a more frequent service between Perth and Blairgowrie.  Early morning and late afternoon journeys and journeys serving Perth Academy continue to run the full route to/from Blairgowrie.  A revised timetable is introduced.

 

Service 59: Blairgowrie – Coupar Angus – Dundee

The timetable of this service is improved to offer more frequent journeys and a better spread of departures between services 57 & 59.  The Monday to Saturday daytime frequency is improved to hourly, and a two-hourly Sunday service is introduced.  Combined with service 57, this offers journeys between Blairgowrie and Dundee up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and hourly on Sundays.  In addition, the route now serves Lochee High Street in response to passenger requests.

 

Service 60: Blairgowrie – Butterstone – Dunkeld – Aberfeldy

Revised timetable, with some journeys extended to Aberfeldy.  Additional schoolday only journeys from Blairgowrie at 0725 to Dunkeld and from Dunkeld at 1635 to Blairgowrie are introduced.

 

Service 301: Broxden park & ride – Perth city centre

Service withdrawn and replaced by new service 7A/7B.

 

Service X8: Perth – Dundee – Arbroath

The 0648 Perth to Arbroath Monday to Friday journey is retimed to provide an earlier arrival at Ninewells Hospital for staff starting work at 0730.  In addition, a stopping point will be added at Dundee Tech Park, Sidlaw House in response to customer requests, and the route will now serve Ethiebeaton Park, Angus Gateway.

 

Services with no changes – current routes and timetables will continue to run:

13, 19, 63, 70, 71, 83, 809, 862, 874 & 892.

 

Dundee & Angus Area

 

Service X8: Perth – Dundee – Arbroath

The 0648 Perth to Arbroath Monday to Friday journey is retimed to provide an earlier arrival at Ninewells Hospital for staff starting work at 0730.  In addition, a stopping point will be added at Dundee Tech Park, Sidlaw House in response to customer requests, and the route will now serve Ethiebeaton Park, Angus Gateway.

The service no longer serves Scone park & ride but additionally serves Lochee High Street in response to passenger requests.  Journeys serving Kinrossie are numbered 57A and journeys serving Perth College UHI are numbered 57C.

Revised timetable, with some journeys extended to/from Arbroath.

 

Service 77: Dundee – Newport – Gauldry

A revised timetable is introduced at the same daytime frequency, with all journeys serving Dundee city centre.  Off-peak journeys to Balmerino now serve Gauldry Balgove Road instead and the evening timetable is reduced.  An early morning Monday to Friday journey will start from St Andrews and run via St Michaels to Wormit.  On Sundays, one morning journey will start from St Andrews and an evening journey will extend to St Andrews.

 

Fife Area

 

Service X24: St Andrews – Glenrothes – Halbeath P&R – Kincardine – Glasgow Airport

The 0348 Halbeath park & ride to Glasgow Airport journey is withdrawn due to low passenger numbers.  The 0540 Glasgow Airport to Glenrothes journey no longer serves the section of the route between Glasgow Airport and Dunfermline. The journey will now commence at Dunfermline bus station at 0725.

In response to customer requests, the 0530 St Andrews to Glenrothes Monday to Friday journey runs 20 minutes earlier to enable connections at Glenrothes bus station with the 0600 X26 to Glasgow and the 0610 service X9 to Edinburgh.

 

Service 26: Dunfermline – Fife College Glenrothes Campus – Glenrothes

In Crossgates this service now stops at the Main Street (British Legion) bus stop, instead of the primary school, and also serves the Hill of Beath concrete works stop.

 

Service X26: Leven – Glenrothes – Halbeath P&R – Kincardine – Glasgow 

The 0605 Dunfermline to Glenrothes Monday to Friday journey now runs 5 minutes earlier to maintain a connection with retimed service X54.  In Crossgates, this service now stops at the Main Street (British Legion) bus stop, instead of the primary school, and also serves the Hill of Beath concrete works stop.

 

Service X27: Kirkcaldy – Halbeath P&R – Kincardine – Glasgow

The 1820 Glasgow to Kirkcaldy Monday to Friday journey is retimed to improve reliability.

 

Service 30: Glenrothes – Caskieberran & Woodside

Minor timetable revision to improve reliability, with times adjusted slightly along the route.

 

Service 36: Glenrothes – Newburgh – Perth

Revised Sunday timetable, with all journeys extended to Glenrothes.

 

Service X37: Kirkcaldy – Glenrothes

The 0625 Kirkcaldy to Glenrothes Monday to Friday journey runs 5 minutes earlier to maintain connections with retimed service X54.

 

Service 39A: Leslie – Glenrothes – Kirkcaldy

The 1748 Leslie to Finglassie Monday to Friday journey, and 1632, 1702 & 1732 Leslie to Finglassie Saturday journeys ending at Cornhill Road are extended to Foxton Drive.

 

Service 42: St Andrews – Tayport – Dundee

A revised timetable is introduced, with the Monday to Saturday daytime frequency between Tayport and Dundee reduced from 15 to 20 minutes.

 

Service 53B: Dundee – Cupar 

The 0755 journey from Dundee bus station to Bell Baxter High School runs 3 minutes earlier.

 

Service X54: Dundee – Glenrothes – Halbeath P&R – Ferrytoll P&R – Edinburgh 

The 0700 Glenrothes to Dundee Monday to Friday journey runs 10 minutes earlier.  The 0725 Glenrothes to Dundee Monday to Friday journey runs 5 minutes earlier.  In Crossgates, this service now stops at the Main Street (British Legion) bus stop, instead of the primary school, and also serves the Hill of Beath concrete works stop.  In Glenrothes, the route no longer serves Rothesey House due to low passenger usage and instead runs via Queensway where a new stop is introduced.

 

Service X55: Dunfermline – Rosyth – Ferrytoll P&R – Edinburgh 

The 1600 Dunfermline to Edinburgh Bristo Square Monday to Friday journey runs 10 minutes earlier.

 

Service X56: Perth – Kinross – Halbeath P&R – Ferrytoll P&R – Edinburgh

Revised timetable, with most daytime journeys no longer diverting via Bridge of Earn, reducing the off-peak journey time between the two city centres to 90 minutes off-peak.  Early morning and evening journeys continue to serve Bridge of Earn.  In addition, the 0620 Edinburgh to Perth Monday to Friday journey and the 1840 Halbeath to Edinburgh Sunday journey both run 5 minutes later.

 

Service 77: Dundee – Newport – Gauldry

A revised timetable is introduced at the same daytime frequency, with all journeys serving Dundee city centre.  Off-peak journeys to Balmerino now serve Gauldry Balgove Road instead and the evening timetable is reduced.  An early morning Monday to Friday journey will start from St Andrews and run via St Michaels to Wormit.  On Sundays, one morning journey will start from St Andrews and an evening journey will extend to St Andrews.

 

Service 95: St Andrews – Anstruther – Leven

Route amended to serve Waid Academy Community Centre at the request of Fife Council.

 

Service 99: St Andrews – Dundee

Sunday frequency increased to every 15 minutes (99A, 99B, 99C, 99D).  No change to Monday to Friday or Saturday timetables.

 

Service 747: Halbeath P&R – Edinburgh Airport

New early morning journeys added in response to high passenger demand.  The Sunday timetable is now the same as Saturday, resulting in an improved Sunday morning frequency.  In addition, following the recent road layout changes around South Queensferry for the Queensferry Crossing, the route now observes the stops on Builyeon Road between the Echline and South Queensferry roundabouts.
